Neighborhood Watch: Jaimel Bryant

Jaimel was definitely one of the dudes I seen growing up skating and I consider his skating to be very inspirational and stylish. Dude was making noise a couple years back but he's been on the flipside making shit happen behind the scenes with being a father, grinding everyday, and skating in between. I chose Jaimel to interview because he's a kid with kids like me. Still chasing dreams and handling shit. Everyone is sleeping on the kid besides the Neighborhood Watch. 

D- What's good man, how is everything going? 


J- Another day in the neighborhood! Everything's a process at the moment day to day planning working non stop , my lil ones !



D- I haven't seen much magic on the board for a while now, what's going on with you and skateboarding, do you plan to drop a video part just for fun or are you just chillin as of now?


J- Well after dislocating my foot in 3 places 2 years ago honestly set me back , I had another child , things got real for a G, my son was just starting school! A lot to process on the daily 24/7 non stop daddy mode! I lost my Car. [I'm] coming from just chasing the skate life to having to jump into a career to provide for my kids! 
- The magic "is always there" not to sound cocky but my bday is go skate day , I was born 2 skate ! And yes I'm dying to put a part out, I'm always in the friends section somewhere doing my thing 💯🎯❤️!Biggest issue is finding the Filmer that can work with my crazy timing !  Day or night I'm always tryna get it in! 



D- Other than your kids what's your motivation to keep pushing through everything including the bullshit life occasionally throws at us? 


J- I would say my motivation that keeps me going would be my governement name Homie !" Jaimel Donell Bryant "! 666  I've overcome every road block that's been toss my way! In my book there's no quitting or giving up no matter how many times life has u at a stand still just keep going keep trying till you beat the odds ! I DONT  KNOW HOW 2 QUIT! That's for the WEAK my bones healed I'm STILL putting in work ! 👊🏻😆 



D- You still clearing 6 foot long manual pads? 



J- All day everyday ! I got the pop and a mean throw down ! 



D- How do you feel about skateboarding in the olympics?
J- Prolly wouldn't watch it ?

D- Opinions about how Norfolk is shaping up and what else could it have to be better?
J- City life ,night skate spots in the cut, get rid of the cops and it be skate heaven!

D- What are your goals for 2017?

J- Put a part out ! Hopefully retire ! Travel NYC atl fl #weekendwarriors 

D- How are the kids?
J- Doing great! My sons 6 loves school learning a lot! My lil diva she only 2 but u would think she is cause she all bout the money! 

D- Who are some of your favorite bands / musicians as of late? 
J- Man I listen to everything in general, Ima 80s baby. jayz my favorite rapper. then dipset then outkast.

D- Shout outs ?
J- Cardinal Skateshop for always having my back ! 
My kids who I go hard for everyday, my mom n' pops for not understanding skateboarding the way I saw it. They made me become the skate monster I am and won't stop being !

Akira HD-4K remaster

“ Akira ” fans will have a lot to celebrate in the coming years. Completely unrelated, although possibly timed to coincide with Taika Waititi’s forthcoming remake, the 1988 cyberpunk classic will receive an ultra-HD remastering. It will be the first time the animated film will be seen in 4K. In addition, director  Katsuhiro Otomo will revisit his crowning work in a new anime project based on the original manga. The updated version is set to release on blu-ray in Japan on April 24, 2020
